Address School House, Marston Bigot, Frome, BA11 5BP Price £16,253 + VAT. Tank / System FujiClean CEN5 (7 person) Sewage Treatment Plant with pumped outlet Installer Shaun Coupe Section 50/106 N/A EA Permit N/A Included Building Control - included Electrician - included Tanker - not included Spoil Removal - included Decommission - Decommissioning the current clearwater system will require removal of the wooden fence and the above ground part of the system and the rest will require a full empty, broken in and backfilled with spoil from the new excavations. The main septic tank will require a full empty, broken-in and backfilled with foamed concrete due to this being within the driveway. Other Notes There are signs of an existing outfall across the field that appears to run to the watercourse. Although a dye test did not reveal the exact discharge point, this will be investigated further at the start of the project using jetting and CCTV. If confirmed, this existing route will be extremely valuable and should be reinstated and a rat flap installed. Should this not be possible, or if access is refused by the landowner, the alternative would be to pump to the dry ditch within your Garden and construct a seasonal drainfield (This option would require an EA Permit to discharge). 3-bedroom listed property, which is currently served by a septic tank for both foul and grey water. In addition, the property includes a 1-bedroom annex.
Original notes below - Spoken to Chris - in early stages but has been told that the property will need an upgraded tank. He said that he didn't know a thing about septic tanks so have ran through the difference between ST and STP General binding rules for what he can and cant do. There is a borehole on site but this will be over 50m away Spoken about clay ground and perc tests etc He's not sure about surface water but will check 4-5 bed property Given him a guide price on a new system Will email him some info over and set a follow up for 2 weeks time. He has said he will probably get us out for a survey to discuss scope for a new system Since this conversation, there are two borehole that supply the drinking water, one is over 50m away and the other is approx 20-30m - these do have salt filtration and UV system. Said he would need a permit, and we discussed having the FujiClean because of the effluent quality. Aware of cost of the permit and our admin There is a resivoir at the edge of his boundary Looking at the GBR, he may not need a permit if he is discharging to watercourse rather than to ground. All the land slopes towards the resivoir. The property is near an ancient woodland which would be ok for a water discharge but not discharge to ground. He would like us to visit to provde a full quotation and scope of work please.
Meeting tanker on site at approx 10am - do not send report until we have confirmation payment has been received. Home buyer/seller survey Just to confirm the objectives for the system check: 1. Check if the current system meets current general binding rules 2. Check the size of the current system to ensure it is adequate for the property 3. Check if there is any surface water from the downpipes entering the system 4. Check the condition of the tank for crack/leaks/structural condition 5. If possible to check the outlet point, if this is to ground, we will check for any signs of leeching (indicates drainfield failure) 6. Provide a full report with photographs and any quotes should remedial works or replacement be required Call Kirsty whilst on site for de-brief to ensure she has all info to produce report
